COTA NT (also known as Council on the Ageing NT) is the peak body for Seniors in the Northern Territory advocating for their rights and wellbeing since 1969
You can join COTA NT as an individual or joint Member; or as a Club and Associate Member. When you join COTA NT, you become part of a united, inclusive and active voice for seniors across the Northern Territory. Our Members keeps us informed of issues affecting senior Territorians and are an essential part of our movement for making positive social change.
Our individual and joint Members are typically aged between 50 and 90 years old; working, in employment transition, or in early retirement; culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds; healthy, active and independent or accessing assistance/support. Members are mostly socially and politically-engaged, active in the community and volunteering, facilitating workshops, organising groups and events.
Members are located across the Northern Territory in Darwin, Central Australia, Coomalie, Berry Springs and Katherine.
Club and Associates Members are not-for-profit organisations (i.e. organisations that provide services to the community and do not operate to make a profit for its members (or shareholders, if applicable) and charities which support the well-being of seniors in the Northern Territory. An ABN, charity registration number or incorporated association number (ACN) may be required on application. See Club and Associate Members here.
