COTA NT (also known as Council on the Ageing NT) is the peak body for Seniors in the Northern Territory advocating for their rights and wellbeing since 1969
RSPCA Northern TerritoryRSPCA NT is an independent, locally-run charity; they rely entirely on grants and fundraising to continue to do the work they do. With the support of the community, all the funds raised remain with the animals of the Northern Territory. RSPCA NT cares for over 1000 animals each year who come to them through no fault of their own, whether lost, abandoned, neglected or worse.
RSPCA NT also provides a strong voice for all animals, using strong scientific evidence to inform and advocate for long term improvements to animal welfare through legislation, bylaws and advice. Unlike other states and territories, the Northern Territory Government legislation does not delegate the powers of animal welfare investigations to RSPCA, meaning we are unfortunately unable to assist with reports of cruelty.
RSPCA NT is funded entirely by donations, grants and fundraising activities; they are not a government entity.
