Mike arrived in the Territory 40 years ago as Administration Manager for Kailis Fisheries on Groote Eylandt.

On the closure of the factory on Groote, he moved to Darwin joining Mayne Nickless and was Manager of Armaguard Darwin for over eight years. He gained experience in personnel management (staff of over twenty), security and financial management including investment and budgeting.

Mike then completed an Advanced Diploma in Business Accounting and set up his own business, Financial & Bookkeeping Services, which he still operates today over 20 years later.
