DESCRIPTION:With the assistance of funding provided by the Multicultural Affairs Office of the Northern Territory government\, COTA NT sponsors two seniors groups – Italians and Timorese/Portuguese – who are brought together weekly for social and community engagement purposes.  \nAbout\n\nA support person coordinates the activities\, organises translation services where necessary\, and assists COTA NT to deliver the program to these two groups of very senior and isolated men and women. A network of volunteer drivers assists weekly\, providing the transport of the ladies using the COTA NT’s Toyota HiACE bus.\nThe program runs all year round except during school holidays. DESCRIPTION:Join a seated chair aerobics class specifically designed for the over 50s. The gentle sitting exercises can be done at home and are designed to help improve mobility and prevent falls.\nYou will need to wear comfortable clothing and have a water bottle handy and a sturdy\, supportive chair for use. \nChair Aerobics classes by Sharon Kelly of Super Ageing are held face to face at COTA NT\, Spillett House in Darwin and broadcast using ZOOM software. Sharon is available to assist those getting started with fitness and with Zoom! \nMore exercise sessions designed by Sharon to be done at home are accessible via her Super Ageing YouTube Channel (click here).  \nBefore you start\n\nGet set up (allow plenty of time and have a trial run BEFORE the class starts) – more on how to use ZOOM.\nIf you need help with ZOOM\, please contact Sharon on 0438 890 089\nMake sure you can clearly see and hear the instructor and that she can see and hear you.
